Rehabilitation-Focused & Sports-Injury Treatments
Collin Martin brings a rehabilitation-based approach to massage therapy, with a strong focus on sports injuries, chronic pain, postural imbalances, and functional mobility. Each session begins with a thorough assessment, allowing Collin to identify the root of the issue—whether it’s an injury, muscular tension, trigger points, or restricted joint movement.
From there, he customizes the treatment plan using one or more advanced techniques best suited to your individual needs. His goal is not just to relieve symptoms, but to support long-term recovery and improved performance.
Collin’s treatments may include one or a combination of the following techniques, depending on your condition and goals:
- Pre-Event Sports Massage – 15–25 minutes of stimulation and mobilization to prepare your body for intense activity. (Billed as a 30-minute session)
- Post-Event Sports Massage – A 60-minute recovery-focused treatment to help the body return to baseline after strenuous exercise.
- Myofascial Release – Addresses fascial restrictions for improved range of motion and reduced discomfort.
- Trigger Point Therapy – Relieves knots and referred pain through targeted pressure on trigger points.
- Joint Mobilization – Increases joint mobility, breaks down scar tissue, and reduces crepitus.
- PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation) – Enhances muscle flexibility using strategic contractions and stretches.
- MET (Muscle Energy Technique) – Engages the body’s own strength to help release and realign muscle tissues.
- Postural Alignment Therapy – A longer-term approach using manual therapy and corrective exercises to realign posture.
- Specific Dysfunction Treatments – Focused sessions for conditions like TMJ dysfunction, hyperlordosis, anterior/posterior hip rotation, and joint mobility restrictions.
